A student project about a packaging design for a Viennese wine chocolate brand.
Background and Concept
The task was to create a packaging design for three different kinds of wine chocolate "Blaufränkisch", "Grüner Veltliner" and "Zweigelt-Rosée". The brand name is "Weinschokolade aus Wien - Maier Schokoalde". At the start of the project I did a brainstorming about what is typical for Vienna in my eyes. The concept I came up with was a more elegant design making the chocolate more exclusive.
Design Elements and Process
The packaging designs of the three kinds are mainly the same showing the skyline of Vienna in the background which is a great symbolic that you can immediately associate with the city. There was also a grapes and leaves positioned on the package in a white and gold color. Each flavor has a different colored package - dark blue, light green and red-rosé. At the right bottom corner you can find the percentage of cocoa in each chocolate. The fonts used for the packaging are "Above" and "Elegant-Light". The packaging design was created with Adobe Illustrator and the mockups with Photoshop.
